Can you tell me why you are not renewing my lease?

GLPM’s company policy is to not provide a reason for why a lease is not being renewed. This is also within state laws, as long as tenants receive proper and timely notice of the intent not to renew the lease.

The most common reason for non-renewal is that the property owner has told us not to renew. Sometimes they are planning on selling the property, other times they might move into the property, or have a family member or friend move into the property. Owners consider this sort of information to be private and confidential, so they don’t want it discussed.

Please understand that we will not get into a discussion or argument about this, and will not deviate from our policy of not disclosing confidential information about why the renewal is not taking place. Thank you for understanding.
