I want to use my own Renter’s Insurance. Do I have to participate in the Tenant Benefits Package?

The Tenant Benefits Package is mandatory for our Texas rental properties and offers a lot more benefits than just a renter’s insurance. You can check out all of the benefits by clicking here.

You are welcome to have additional insurance on top of our Master Tenant Renter’s Insurance. But in case you want to have your own renter’s insurance instead of ours, you can opt out of the insurance portion of the Tenant Benefits Package and the monthly price will be lowered from $45/month to $32.50/month.

Keep in mind that since your lease requires you to have renter’s insurance, you will need to include Green Light Property Management as “Interested Party” on your insurance. This is how we will know that you are in compliance with this requirement of your lease.
