Who is responsible for pest control?

Our policy is to provide the home pest free. Any pest issues (roaches, mice, rats, rodents,…) that you report within the first 30 days of your move in, will be considered pre-existing and the Landlord will pay for any pest control needed.

After the first 30 days, if any pest issues arise, they will be your financial responsibility.
We recommend treating the perimeter of the home at least every six months with a product like Home Defense, to keep roaches and other insects at bay.

If there is an underlying issue at the property causing rodents to get into the attic, such as a hole in the soffit, those might be the Landlord’s responsibility. Please report any issues immediately, so that we can provide you guidance, and so that the problem does not get larger.

Remember: Pest issues will not go away by themselves. They will require action. The longer it takes to address the issue, the worse it will get. And it is normal that mother nature will try to take back its ground. So proper maintenance of the yard and the home is necessary to keep pests at bay.
